‘Systems to Support Our People- Embedding a Trauma Informed Approach’ Conference, Stormont Hotel – 23 January 2025

On January 23 2025 the SBNI hosted a major conference focusing on the importance of adopting a whole-systems approach and integrating trauma-informed services across all organisations in Northern Ireland. The conference titled: ‘Systems to Support our People: Embedding a Trauma-Informed Approach’ which was opened by Junior ministers Aisling Reilly and Pam Cameron, had regional, national and international speakers and was attended by over 150 cross sector delegates. The conference was closed with inspiring words from Dr Jayne Brady, Head of the Civil Service NI (NICS), reiterating the NICS commitment to leading and continuing on the journey to provide a whole-system trauma informed approach across Northern Ireland.
